Picasso’s Bull Illusion

Kreshnik Berisha immediately submitted this illusion, after he was triggered by our previous slow exposure photograph. I’ll let Keka explain this: “I have commented earlier on some slow exposure photo, and have submitted a link of a famous one with Picasso in it. However, I am not sure how many people saw it, so I was wondering if you would be interested to post it on your website. As I said in my comment, it was done using slow exposure and lighting in the end of the shot. It was done by a famous Albanian photographer called Gjon Mili (he was also the first one to catch a fired bullet in a photo). We have our first Albanian optical illusion submission! Thnks K.

  1. I used to do pictures like these back in 1976. These best one was an outline of my dad in the backyard. People were always amazed by the simple effect. Over the years I have done more pix with various other lighting devices. Moving to digital cameras really killed using this effect.

  2. Very groovy. Even more so for being Picasso and a bull, eh. Yet another reason to keep some good, old fashoned film around.

  3. it’s really cool. I’m not sure I get the part about Picasso and the bull, though, because I don’t think it looks like Picasso or a bull.

    1. Do You see the Bull? No? yes that’s right… it’s because… He said “Bull Shit, Picasso”

  4. alright, i guess it does NOT look much like a bull. i give you that much. but what do you mean it doesn’t look like picasso? it/he IS picasso.

  5. I think it looks like a surfboarding bull… COWABUNGA!… Do you see what I’m saying?

Or it could be flying piggies!

  6. No dude, your 5 year old son can’t paint better than that.
you all forget he is painting a bull with one stroke(!!) and he is painting on air.. that means he doesn’t really saw what he was painting.
oh another thing he had to do it as fast as he can.
basing on these facts, i think we can all agree it’s a pretty good paint of a bull.

  7. sweeeet and i agree with str any one could paint on paper better than that but in the air as fast as you can without seeing it….
