Today’s optical illusion is one of the most amazing pieces I’ve seen in quit a while! This swimming pool illusion is the work of¬†Argentinian artist Leandro Erlich. The work itself really speaks for itself, and it’s sure to blow your mind!

It looks like the people in the pool are fully clothed, doesn’t it? That wouldn’t be so unusual, but the fact that they’re also just walking around on the bottom of the pool like it’s just a stroll in the park is more than a little odd!

Here’s another angle of this swimming pool illusion to help you get a little perspective…

By now, I’m sure you can figure out how this swimming pool illusion works. It’s not a pool at all, but rather a big empty space. The inside of the swimming pool is painted blue and has drains, just like a real swimming pool. Water is suspended on to of the empty space with a piece of glass, giving it the illusion of a real swimming pool when viewed from the top.

This swimming pool illusion is on display at the 21st Century Art Museum in Kanazawa, Japan. A similar swimming pool illusion has also been installed at the PS1 Art Center in New York City.
