Oh, wow! I can’t believe how late I’m getting today’s illusion out! I woke up this morning with my daughter’s cold and an arm that wouldn’t move because I suspect I may have screwed it up playing football with my son this weekend. Ouch! And, on top of all that, my Internet decided that it didn’t want to work. Bummer! But, better late than never, right? Today’s illusion strikes me as a pretty creepy optical illusion.
I see angels and demons intermingling in this creepy optical illusion. I love how the dark shapes help create the light shapes. It’s sort of like a good versus evil theme, don’t you think?
It’s definitely a creepy way to start the week!
How do they do it.
This drawing was made by the artist M.C. Escher. It would be good to at least attribute it to him.
Very true. This is Escher’s work. At the time there was some controversy about the darker character looking like the then Dutch prime minister. Escher argued that it was merely dictated by the tessellations.
