More Afterimage Flags

I almost forgot that one month ago, I asked you all to submit Afterimage Flag of your own country. Danial Hashim emailed me two of them, including his letter: “Hi Vurdlak! I am Danial, and I love to visit your optical illusions blog. Since in your post of the Union Jack afterimage you suggested that we tried to make them of our countries’ flag, I did one of the flags of Malaysia, since I was born there, and of Brazil, since I currently live here.” But Danial isn’t the only one who sent in his creation. Nope, first submission was already submitted few weeks ago, and was done by Olivier Raby from Paris (France). Oliver made the afterimage of the French flag! He said: “It took me about half an hour to do it (even though this flag is really simple), so I hope I’m the first one to submit this country (France).” Thanks guys! All three afterimages can be seen inside this post: Brazil, Malaysia and France. You can also check: USA, Canada, England if you follow the links.

  1. These are easy to make, just copy any picture/flag into Paint and press Control + I (Invert). Not sure why it would take someone half an hour to do this…

    1. Stare at the middle of the flags for a while then look at a blank wall and you will see the proper flag.

  2. no the illusion is…if you stare at a flag for a while and then look onto a white surface the u will see the flag in the inverted (regular) colors. Not that cool. but whateves
