Buddhist Temple Illusion

This one is nice, you probably see Buddha holding an edge of a window from falling. What you can’t see, is depth dimension – actually Buddha statue is placed few inches in front of the wall in reality. This optical illusion was posted because it fooled me first time I saw it. It was submitted by Susannah Anderson, and here’s here official description: “This is a photo we took last week, at the local Buddhist temple. It is one of the 16 disciples of the Buddha, I don’t remember which. It looks as if he were holding up a roof which is falling on his head. (And shouting, in a panic.) He isn’t; the “roof” is the wall behind him, and its edge is the window frame.”

  1. If you look at the whole window frame instead of just where the illusion is, its almost like some of MC Eschers works . . . . kinda . . . Then again it could just be me . . .>.>

  2. It’s an ILLUSION, so of course something might give it away… It’s an illusion so it’s something that looks like something else when you don’t look at attentively enough.
